In 1988, after several years of R&D, and to enhance their position in the powdered metal market, AMAX, a multi-billion dollar metals and mining conglomerate, formed AMAX Metal Injection Molding, a joint venture partnership , and the predecessor to Injectamax Corp. In 1994, Cypress Minerals, the eventual parent of AMAX, sold their partnership interest to Injectamax Corp, which owned the balance of the partnership.

Today Injectamax Corp. continues to be a technology leader and parts producer in powder Metal Injection Molding -- MIM.
